Senate Leader and Chairman of the Ekiti APC 2026 Governorship Campaign Council, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, says Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s performance in the last three and a half years has made his re-election bid easier ahead of the June 20 governorship poll.
Bamidele, who spoke during Oyebanji’s campaign rallies in Ijero, Efon Alaaye, and Aramoko on Monday, said the governor’s policies had positively impacted residents, prompting voters to support him for a second term.
Governor Oyebanji expressed confidence in securing victory, citing achievements in infrastructure, education, agriculture, healthcare, rural development, and workers’ welfare. He also urged party members to mobilise voters, with the APC targeting at least 500,000 votes in the election.
At Efon Alaaye, the governor highlighted projects delivered by his administration and the Federal Government, including roads, hospitals, transformers, and primary healthcare centres.
Bamidele described Oyebanji’s first term as transformative, noting that the administration had brought peace, unity, and development to the state.
