JUST IN: FG Suspends Tariffs On Imported Goods To Tackle High Food Prices

The federal government on Monday, suspended duties, tariffs, and taxes on the importation of Maize, Husked Brown Rice, Wheat, and Cowpeas via land and sea borders.

This was revealed in a press briefing by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, adding that the measures will be implemented over the next 180 days.

This was part of the proactive efforts by President Bola Tinubu to tackle hike in food prices.
