Popular Nigerian dancer and socialite Iweh Odinaka, better known as Poco Lee, is reportedly on remand in the United Kingdom over an alleged assault.
He is expected to appear before the Snaresbrook Crown Court in London on September 15, 2026, at 10am.
Benjamin Kuti, popularly known as the Oluomo of Derby and founder of the community of Nigerians in the UK, confirmed the development on Monday.

Kuti said Poco Lee is currently being held in a UK prison and will attend a plea hearing.
“I can confirm that the reports are true. Poco Lee is currently on remand in a UK prison,” Kuti said.
He explained that a plea hearing allows an accused person to indicate whether they intend to plead guilty or not guilty.
Kuti also said he plans to attend the proceedings to support Poco Lee and other Nigerians facing legal issues in the UK.
He urged the public to allow the legal process to take its course, stressing that Poco Lee remains innocent until proven guilty.
Reports of Poco Lee’s alleged detention began circulating online on August 19.
However, early reports did not identify the alleged complainant or disclose details of the alleged offence.
There was also no immediate independent confirmation from UK police or the court.
An email sent to the Snaresbrook Crown Court seeking confirmation of the case had not received a response at the time of filing this report.
