Akindele shared a birthday message thanking God for another year and praying for good health, long life and the grace to fulfil her purpose.
However, some social media users criticised the actress, arguing that the timing of her birthday post was insensitive given Ogogo’s burial and his status as a senior colleague in the industry.
Others defended Akindele, saying she had every right to celebrate her birthday and that mourning someone’s death should not mean putting life on hold.
Ogogo, 66, was buried according to Islamic rites in his hometown on Monday. His funeral was attended by several Nollywood colleagues, including Yinka Quadri, Jide Kosoko, Faithia Balogun and Femi Adebayo.
