Bellingham Double Inspires 10-Man England Past Mexico

England booked their place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup quarter-finals with a dramatic 3-2 victory over co-hosts Mexico after holding on with 10 men in a thrilling Round of 16 clash.

Jude Bellingham stole the spotlight with two goals in just 98 seconds during the first half before Harry Kane calmly converted a second-half penalty to restore England’s two-goal advantage. Mexico fought back through Julián Quiñones and Raúl Jiménez, but Thomas Tuchel’s side produced a resilient defensive display after Jarell Quansah was sent off early in the second half.

The match, which was delayed by an hour due to severe weather, saw England withstand relentless late pressure to secure a memorable win and set up a quarter-final showdown with Norway.
