Manchester City have appointed former Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca as their new head coach on a three-year contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2029.
The Italian returns to the Etihad for a third spell after previously serving in the club’s coaching setup.

Speaking after signing his contract, Maresca described the appointment as a “brilliant opportunity” and praised City’s structure and ambition.
“Manchester City is a club I know very well and to have the chance to manage this team is a brilliant opportunity for me,” he said.
He added that the club’s innovative approach and clear planning create the ideal environment for a manager to succeed.
“This will be my third spell here. I know this club, I know the demands and I know the expectations.
“I cannot wait to start coaching the players. I want us to win, play good football and enjoy the pressure of representing Manchester City.”
