Former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, has spoken about his relationship with his younger brother, Isaac Fayose, saying that despite their differences, love remains the foundation of their bond.
Speaking during an interview with Channels Television, Fayose described himself as a father figure to Isaac and expressed confidence that their differences would eventually be resolved.
“I love Isaac, I shall continue to love him,” Fayose said.
“What they call an elder is different when they call a younger brother. I am Isaac’s father technically. One day Isaac will come back to me. Isaac does not have to seek my advice; he is an adult.”
Fayose said disagreements are common in many families and should not be viewed as unusual, even when they involve public figures.
“May I say I shall continue to love my siblings. In every family, there are challenges like this. It is because it is Fayose that is why the noise is in the roof,” he added.

The former governor maintained that family conflicts do not necessarily destroy relationships, stressing that patience, understanding and forgiveness are important in keeping family ties intact.
His remarks also reflect the role often expected of elders in Nigerian families, where older siblings are seen as guides and mediators during periods of tension.
Throughout the interview, Fayose remained optimistic about reconciliation, insisting that his affection for Isaac remains unchanged despite their strained relationship.
