The All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council in Ekiti State says it remains committed to securing at least 500,000 votes for Governor Biodun Oyebanji in the June 20 governorship election.
The council dismissed concerns over the return of PDP candidate Wole Oluyede, insisting the opposition poses no threat to its electoral chances.
Director-General of the campaign, Cyril Fasuyi, said the party would surpass opposition mobilisation across the state, describing recent PDP activities as insignificant.
“We are working towards a minimum of 500,000 votes, and we will achieve it,” he said.
Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele said the campaign structure had been fully set up with coordinators across federal constituencies to drive grassroots mobilisation.
Oyebanji added that the strategy would energise voters and strengthen engagement ahead of the poll.
