VeryDarkMan Threatens to Disrupt Tyla’s Lagos Concert Amid Xenophobia Claims

Nigerian activist VeryDarkMan has vowed to disrupt South African singer Tyla’s planned concert in Lagos, citing alleged xenophobic attacks against Nigerians in South Africa.

In a video shared on Facebook, the activist, whose real name is Martins Otse, declared that Tyla’s December 22 concert would not take place.

He questioned the singer’s decision to perform in Nigeria while Nigerians face hostility in South Africa, particularly referencing former Miss Universe Nigeria Chidimma Adetshina’s ongoing deportation case.

VeryDarkMan also warned the concert promoters that he and others would storm the venue and stop the event if it goes ahead.

His comments come amid growing calls on social media for Nigerians to boycott Tyla’s Lagos show as part of her APOP World Tour.

Adetshina, who has Nigerian heritage, is challenging her deportation from South Africa, with her case scheduled to return before a Cape Town court on August 19.

Tyla has yet to publicly respond to the boycott campaign, while the Lagos concert has not been officially cancelled.
