Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has praised the large turnout of All Progressives Congress (APC) members during the party’s presidential primaries across the 177 wards in the state.
Oyebanji described the exercise as a strong vote of confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership and a clear sign of unity within the party.

The governor participated in the affirmation exercise at Ward 6, Ikogosi-Ekiti, on Saturday. He said the process was peaceful, orderly and transparent.
Speaking with journalists after voting, Oyebanji said the enthusiasm shown by party members reflected the APC’s commitment to internal democracy.
According to him, the exercise was historic because it gave party members the opportunity to directly decide the party’s presidential flag bearer.

“In our ward in Ikogosi, 620 out of 624 registered members voted in support of President Tinubu,” he said.
Oyebanji also commended the APC leadership for allowing members to actively participate in the decision-making process.
He expressed confidence that President Tinubu and the APC would record victory in the 2027 general election, adding that performance would remain a major factor in the polls.
