US and Iran Agree to Two-Week Ceasefire

The United States and Iran have agreed to a two-week ceasefire following heightened tensions and threats of possible military action.

The agreement was mediated by Pakistan and includes the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, a major route for global oil exports.

Iran also presented a 10-point peace plan, which officials said is aimed at opening the door for further negotiations.

Both sides have described the outcome positively, although tensions between them remain.

The ceasefire is expected to pause hostilities for two weeks as diplomatic efforts continue.
