Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State have cautioned the party’s South-West and National leadership against tampering with the outcome of the governorship primary that produced Dr. Wole Oluyede as the party’s flag bearer for the upcoming state election.
Speaking with journalists at the PDP Secretariat in Ado-Ekiti, former Deputy Governorship candidate Deji Ogunsakin, alongside other party stakeholders, urged the leadership to uphold the choice of members who, according to them, had spoken “clearly through the ballot” during the primaries.
They warned that any move to overturn Oluyede’s victory would undermine internal democracy and weaken the party’s unity ahead of the governorship poll.
