Tottenham Target Temporary Manager Ahead of Arsenal Clash

Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on the appointment of an interim manager following the sacking of Thomas Frank earlier this week.

Frank was dismissed with Spurs just five points above the relegation zone, prompting urgent action as the club seek to steady a faltering campaign.

According to BBC Sport, Tottenham are confident of finalising a temporary appointment before players return to training on Monday. With their early exit from the FA Cup, the north London side have a nine-day break before facing rivals Arsenal on February 22.

Club officials accept that managerial options are limited at this stage of the season and plan to conduct a full search for a permanent successor in the summer. However, the interim coach could yet be considered for the long-term role if results improve significantly.

Former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, currently in charge of the United States men’s national soccer team, has been linked with a return. Roberto De Zerbi, who recently left Olympique de Marseille, is also viewed as a potential candidate.

For now, Spurs’ priority is clear — stabilise performances, move further away from danger, and reassess the managerial position at the end of the campaign.
