Ekiti 2026: Senate Leader Assures Peace, Says Kayode Ojo Will Back Oyebanji

Senate Leader, Michael Opeyemi Bamidele

Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele has assured residents of Ekiti State of peace ahead of the 2026 governorship election, confirming that former APC governorship aspirant Kayode Ojo will work with Governor Biodun Oyebanji to ensure the party’s victory.

Bamidele disclosed that Ojo decided not to challenge his disqualification after President Bola Tinubu personally advised him to reconcile with the governor.

“Ojo told me the President urged him to stay calm, return home, and make peace. He listened and will now work with the party for a smooth campaign,” Bamidele said in Ado-Ekiti.
