The Ekiti state police command said operatives have been deployed to rescue all abducted persons including the school pupils .
Recall that five pupils and four staff members of the Apostolic Faith Montessori nursery, primary and secondary School were abducted while returning from school.
Eye witness who spoke to Gmartnews correspondence revealed that nine persons were carefully selected by the kidnapers out of twenty persons in the bus .
“It was a fact that after some of our pupils and student were returning after the school hours to Epuro a village not too far from Emure Ekiti. They were returning to that Epuro village. Very close to Epuro, the people of this underworld they attacked them along the road. The bus in which they were traveling with was shot, one of the tires was shot and because of that the driver couldn’t move. All the occupants of that vehicle were matched down, they lie down flat on the road, incidentally they picked few of the pupils and 4 of our staff. 5 of the pupils were taken away”

Another eyewitness said;
“Around 4:30 on Monday when we are coming from school. As we were going we reached a spot remaining 2 camps to Epuro. We heard gunshots 3 times and our driver came down thinking it was the vehicle that was giving sounds. They came out of the bush opened the door and they pointed the gun to us and said anybody that tried nonsense they will kill him. They asked us to come out and lie down and anybody that look up they will kill the person. They took us to the side of the express and started pointing the people that they want to carry. They pointed one girl at Oke Owo and the 2 brothers dragged that anywhere they take their sister to they will follow them thats how that happened and when they left everyone stood up and started running”.
