Duane “Keffe D” Davis has been found guilty of first-degree murder in the 1996 killing of rap legend Tupac Shakur.
A Las Vegas jury delivered the verdict after less than three hours of deliberation, ending a case that has remained unsolved for nearly three decades.
Prosecutors accused Davis, a former South Side Compton Crips leader, of organising the drive-by shooting after Tupac’s entourage clashed with his nephew, Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson, earlier that night.

Investigators said Davis helped obtain the gun used in the attack and was in the vehicle from which Tupac was shot.
Tupac was shot on September 7, 1996, while travelling with Death Row Records co-founder Marion “Suge” Knight in Las Vegas. He died six days later at age 25.
Davis was arrested in 2023 and was the only person ever charged in connection with Tupac’s killing.
He now faces a potential life sentence, with sentencing expected to follow.
