Popular activist Martins Vincent Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has criticised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, over comments he made regarding Nigeria’s security situation.
In a viral video, the activist accused the minister of downplaying the growing insecurity across the country, particularly the rising cases of kidnappings affecting ordinary Nigerians.
A visibly angry VeryDarkMan declared, “Wike, God will punish you,” as he faulted what he described as the government’s lack of empathy for victims and their families.
He further claimed that many government officials are disconnected from the realities facing citizens because their children live and study abroad, away from the insecurity confronting many Nigerian families.
According to him, while ordinary citizens fear kidnappings and attacks, political leaders and their families are often shielded from the harsh realities of the crisis.
The activist’s remarks have since sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians weighing in on the country’s security challenges and the government’s response.
