Israel Strikes Qatar, Targets Hamas Leaders

Israel on Tuesday carried out an attack targeting senior Hamas leadership in Doha, Qatar causing unanimous global criticism, including from the United States

President Donald Trump wrote in a Truth Social post  stating;

“Unilaterally bombing inside Qatar, a Sovereign Nation and close Ally of the United States, that is working very hard and bravely taking risks with us to broker Peace, does not advance Israel or America’s goals,”

Despite the strike, Qatar’s prime minister said the country would continue to seek a diplomatic resolution to the war in Gaza. Six people, including a Qatari security officer, were killed in the attack, Hamas said in a statement.

Donald Trump in another post on social media stated that the United states tried to warn Qatar before the Israel strike

In a Truth Social post, Trump said he directed his special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, to inform Qatar of the “impending” Israeli attack as soon as he learned about it from the U.S. military. Witkoff’s warning, Trump wrote, came “too late to stop the attack.”

According to Qatar’s prime minister, U.S. officials notified Qatar of the attack only 10 minutes after it occurred.
