Man Arrested for Killing Ekiti Resident Over N4,000



‎The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested a 26-year-old man, John Dindul Selbol, for allegedly killing a resident, simply identified as Michael, during a dispute over N4,000.

‎The incident occurred on Friday night at Uso community along the Ado-Afao Road. Selbol, an indigene of Langtang Local Government Area of Plateau State, reportedly engaged in a heated argument with the deceased around 10:30 p.m.



‎Eyewitnesses said the disagreement escalated into a violent fight, during which both men sustained serious injuries. Michael was rushed to the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Ado-Ekiti, where doctors confirmed him dead on arrival. His body has been deposited in the hospital morgue for autopsy.

‎Selbol, who also sustained injuries, is currently receiving treatment under police watch.

‎Confirming the incident, the Ekiti State Police Command said its operatives secured the crime scene and have launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the killing. The Command assured residents that justice would be served and urged the community to remain calm.
