
The Ekiti State Police Command has arrested a 26-year-old man, John Dindul Selbol, for allegedly killing a resident, simply identified as Michael, during a dispute over N4,000.
The incident occurred on Friday night at Uso community along the Ado-Afao Road. Selbol, an indigene of Langtang Local Government Area of Plateau State, reportedly engaged in a heated argument with the deceased around 10:30 p.m.

Eyewitnesses said the disagreement escalated into a violent fight, during which both men sustained serious injuries. Michael was rushed to the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Ado-Ekiti, where doctors confirmed him dead on arrival. His body has been deposited in the hospital morgue for autopsy.
Selbol, who also sustained injuries, is currently receiving treatment under police watch.
Confirming the incident, the Ekiti State Police Command said its operatives secured the crime scene and have launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the killing. The Command assured residents that justice would be served and urged the community to remain calm.
