Over 10,000 youths and students across Ekiti State on Friday marched in support of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Biodun Oyebanji, following a mobilisation led by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Student Engagement, Sunday Asefon.
The march cut across the state capital before converging at the Fajuyi Pavilion under the banner “10,000-Man March for PBAT/BAO.”
Speaking to journalists, Asefon said the growing youth support for the Tinubu administration was driven by deliberate policies that prioritise young people, noting increased youth representation in government and reforms in the education sector.

He praised Governor Oyebanji for improved funding of tertiary institutions, increased scholarships and bursaries, and ongoing renovation of schools across Ekiti. He also urged youths to collect their PVCs and participate in party e-registration ahead of upcoming elections.

Also speaking, House of Representatives Spokesman Akintunde Rotimi endorsed the Tinubu–Oyebanji partnership, citing effective federal–state collaboration, while Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Stephen Aribasoye, described the turnout as a vote of confidence in governance at both state and national levels.
