PDP governorship candidate Jude Ezenwafor has vowed to work with Governor Chukwuma Soludo to advance Anambra’s development after the November 8 election.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Monday, Ezenwafor described Soludo as a longtime friend, saying, “I can assist him. I brought him to work in Anambra.”
He revealed that he encouraged Soludo to contest while serving as an aide to former Governor Willie Obiano, commending Soludo’s administration for efforts to improve security but urging more inclusivity and better equipment for security agencies.
On allegations of vote-buying, Ezenwafor dismissed them as exaggerated, insisting he ran a clean campaign. “Almost five political parties engaged in vote-buying. I did not buy votes,” he said.
Ezenwafor also denied being a placeholder, claiming he invested over ₦80 million in his campaign and survived an assassination attempt during the election.
According to INEC, Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) won with 422,664 votes, while Ezenwafor of the PDP polled 1,401 votes.
