Tottenham Supports Udogie After Gun Threat Incident

Tottenham Hotspur have pledged their full support to 22-year-old Italian defender, Destiny Udogie, and his family following reports that he was threatened with a gun in London.

According to police, a 31-year-old man was arrested in connection with the September incident and later released on bail pending further investigation.

A club spokesman said on Tuesday: “We have been providing support for Destiny and his family since the incident and will continue to do so. Given this is a legal matter, we cannot comment any further.”

Police confirmed they were called on September 6 after a man in his 20s reported being threatened with a firearm in a north London area known to house several Tottenham and Arsenal players. Another victim also alleged being blackmailed and threatened by the same suspect. No injuries were reported.

Udogie featured in Tottenham’s 4–0 Champions League win over Copenhagen on Tuesday night.
