The Secretary to the Sokoto State Government, Alhaji Muhammadu Bello Sifawa, has lost his daughter and three grandchildren in a fire incident that engulfed their home in Sifawa town, Bodinga Local Government Area of Sokoto
The horrific incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, January 6, 2025, at the residence of his daughter, Rabiatu, who was married to Alhaji Muhammadu Yusuf Bello, Permanent Secretary of the Sokoto State Ministry of Sports and Youth Development.
The inferno, which swept through the house as the family slept, also claimed the life of the housemaid.
It was gathered that only Alhaji Muhammadu Yusuf Bello, miraculously survived.
At the time of filing this report, authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire while firefighters work to put off the fire
The deceased were laid to rest today at the Sheikh Shehu Usmanu Danfodiyo Mosque in Sifawa.
