President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Brigadier General Kunle Nafiu as the new Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), replacing Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed.
Brig. Gen. Nafiu served as Chief of Staff to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, a role he also held under the late Lt. Gen. Abiodun Lagbaja.
A Member of the 47 Regular Course, Nafiu is an Artillery Officer and an alumnus of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College as well as the U.S. Army War College. He previously served as a Directing Staff at the Army War College, Nigeria.
Nafiu, who hails from Ileogbo, Osun State, assumes office with immediate effect.
