Ekiti State High Court have sentenced 3 persons to Death by hanging for robbing a man of his car at gun point.
Akingbade David, Michael Mayowa and Ibrahim Mukaila were the names of the defendants who were sentenced for armed robbery and conspiracy
They were charged to court on the basis of robbing one Gbenga Ajayi of his Toyota Corolla car at gunpoint on 1st of March, 2019 at NTA road, Ado Ekiti.
An Assistant Chief Legal Officer, O.F. Ajumobi, who prosecuted the case for Ekiti State, said, “The offences of conspiracy and armed robbery are contrary to Section 6(b)of the Robbery and Firearms (Special Provisions) Act, Cap.R11, Vol.14, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004”.
