Customers using defunct Heritage Bank in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital converged at the bank in the early hours of today to demand the refunds of their deposits.
This is not unconnected to the revocation of its operating license by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The angry customers expressed their frustration, calling for the intervention of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, and labour leaders, to facilitate the retrieval of their deposits from the bank.
Also, some aged customers slammed the bank officials for their lack of response despite arriving early at the entrance of the bank.
