A controversial reality star, DeeOne has knocked the family of Chioma Rowland, wife of Afrobeats singer Davido, for holding their daughter’s traditional wedding in Lagos instead of their home town Imo State.
It should be recalled that Davido and Chioma’s traditional wedding took place at the Eko Hotel and Suites on Tuesday.
In a viral video on his Instagram account, DeeOne berated Chioma’s family for choosing a hotel venue for the traditional ceremony instead of their home town.
He said, “This is the first time I’m hearing this kind of thing in my life. If the wedding had happened in the bride’s hometown, there would have been a lot of economic benefits,”
DeeOne argued that the decision to hold the wedding in Lagos was influenced by Davido’s wealth, stressing that if the groom were poor, the family would have insisted on the traditional wedding being held in the bride’s hometown in the East.
