A Channels Television bus, transporting approximately 11 journalists from various print and broadcast media outlets covering the hardship protest, was attacked by rampaging hoodlums.
The attackers, armed with sticks and machetes, targeted the vehicle along Sokoto Road, shattering its windows and injuring those inside with glass fragments. A TVC correspondent sustained minor injuries in the incident.
Earlier in the day, hoodlums also vandalized the rear glass of a WAZOBIA FM radio vehicle while it was covering the protest.
