Soldiers from the 3 Battalion of the Nigerian Army arrested more than 100 youths suspected of engaging in Internet fraud at the HK “Hustle Kingdom” School, a cybercriminals training facility located within the Army Estate in Effurun, Uvwie, Delta State.
The Army Estate, known for housing retired military personnel and civilians, became the focus of the operation following intelligence reports about the illegal activities at the school.
Sources revealed that the arrests occurred early Saturday, following months of surveillance on the suspects’ operations.
In addition to the numerous arrests, the alleged owner of the HK “Hustle Kingdom” School and several accomplices were apprehended during the military operation.
Following the operation, military authorities at the 3 Battalion Nigerian Army Barracks in Effurun have transferred the suspects to the Ekpan police station in Uvwie for prosecution after thorough profiling.
When contacted on Monday, Police Public Relations Officer for the Delta State Command, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the arrests of the suspects.
However, he was unable to provide specific details regarding the circumstances of their apprehension.
