
The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State, Abubakar Kana, has issued a strong warning against unguarded utterances that could create discord within the party.
In a statement released to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi by the State Publicity Secretary, Isah Abubakar Assalafy, the APC condemned recent comments and interviews by certain individuals and groups aimed at causing division and unrest among party members.
According to the statement, the APC operates based on established rules and procedures. Therefore, all activities of individuals and support groups must align with the party’s directives for proper guidance.
The party emphasized that any attempt to create disaffection among its leaders particularly between Governor Nasir Idris and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu will not be tolerated. It noted that the continued cooperation between the two leaders remains the backbone of the APC in Kebbi State and the North West region.
The APC further highlighted the cordial relationship between Governor Idris and Senator Bagudu, stating that their unity has been instrumental in attracting people-oriented projects and other democratic dividends to the state.
Abubakar Kana urged all party supporters across the state to disregard individuals attempting to sow discord and instead remain committed to supporting the policies and programs of the Kauran Gwandu-led administration.
