“No Parent Should Pay PTA In Niger”- Gov Bago.

Niger State government has promised to pay parents teachers association P.T.A, fee for pupils in primary and secondary schools across the state.

Governor Umaru Bago announced this while speaking in Sarkin Pawa, Munya local council of the state, when he visited the area today.

Bago maintained that the government had taken the responsibility of PTA of all children in public schools in the state,and asked parents and guardians not to PTA fee for their children any more.

He also cautioned Headmasters and Principals in public schools to stop collecting PTA from any school children, warning that any one found wanting would be sanctioned accordingly.

The Governor had earlier advised parents to enroll their wards into school especially the girl child, adding that school uniform should not be impediment to any children from going to school,saying children can go to school with their personal dresses.

“Allow your children to go to school, school uniform should not be your impediment,and any teacher that send your child back home,pls, report him,he will also be send packing from the school”Bago warned.

The governor has expressed satisfaction with the ongiong road project in the area and enjoined the Contractor handle the project to ensure timely completion.

Bago also promised to construct a road from Sarikin Pawa to Kaduna State, construct a modern market,provide potable drinking water as well as primary health care among others.

The Chairman, Munya local council, Aminu Najumi, Commissioner of Lands and Housing, Moses Magaji, and Peter Sankara in their separate remarks, lauded the governor for his people oriented projects in the area, describing his one year land mark achievements as unprecedented.

They told the governor that the area is experiencing relatively peace,and commended him for providing enough security agents to protect life and property of the people
