One middle aged woman and two of her children have been burnt to death in a devastating fire on Sunday night in Ondo city, the headquarters of Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The incident was said to have occurred at their residence located at Rainbow Street, Lipakala Junction, near Adeyemi Road, in the ancient city.
According to a family source who pleaded to remain anonymous, the victims were burnt beyond recognition.
He added that the fire which destroyed the entire building lasted for several hours.
Confirming the incident, the Spokesperson of Ondo State Police Command, CSP ‘Funmilayo Odunlami, described it as unfrotunate, stating that the remains of the victims have been deposited at the morgue in a hospital in the city.
