Morocco on Tuesday commenced the renovation of its popular national stadium, Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, as part of its preparations for 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The North African country received the approval in 2023 after the African Soccer Governing Body denied Guinea the privilege of hosting the competition.
The football body further announced December -January 2026 as the period for the biennial competition.
Morocco will also host the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in 2025.
