Kano Police Alert Residents Ahead of Two-Day Shooting Practice

The Kano State Police Command on Tuesday advised the public not to panic as personnel from the No. 52 Police Mobile Force Squadron in Challawa, Kano, will be conducting a two-day shooting practice.

The exercise is scheduled to take place at Hawan Kalibawa in Dawakin Tofa LGA, Kano State, on Thursday, September 5, and Friday, September 6, 2024, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

In a statement, the Command’s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, urged residents, particularly those in the Dambazau, Gangaren Dutse, Tumfafi, Kakurum, and Dandalama villages in Dawakin Tofa and Ungogo LGAs, to steer clear of the area during the practice sessions.

Kiyawa stated, “Please, do not panic at the sound of shootings until the exercise is completed.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Salman Dogo Garba, appreciates the understanding, prayers, and continuous support of the good people of Kano State.”
