The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) has arrested Mustapha Maifada, a Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abba Yusuf, along with three Nassarawa LGA officials over the alleged diversion of N105 million.
PCACC Chairman, Muhuyi Rimin-Gado, confirmed the arrests on Tuesday. The suspects—Director of Personnel Management, Treasurer, and Cashier—were initially directed to process a N105,000 payment but allegedly issued a N105m cheque to Maifada in November 2024.
The anti-graft agency, acting on financial intelligence, launched an investigation. While the officials claimed it was a mistake, evidence suggests Maifada used the funds for property acquisition.
The probe is ongoing, more details soon…
