JUST IN: Nigerian Army Nabs Notorious Kidnapper in Ekiti

The people of Ekiti are beginning to see positive results with less than twelve hours after arriving the state, the Army special forces, deployed by the Chief of Army Staff to boost security in the state have apprehended one of the six suspected kidnappers operating along Ikere Igbara Odo road.

Five suspects were said to have escaped into the bush upon sighting the gallant soldiers.

The Special Adviser to Governor Biodun Oyebanji on Security Matters, retired Brigadier General Ebenezer Ogundana, confirmed the incident to the press in Ado Ekiti.

He revealed that the special forces acted on an intelligence report and vowed that the state would not tolerate any criminal activity.

The suspect, Sanusi Dangani from Kano state was paraded before newsmen at the Fajuyi Pavilion in Ado Ekiti.

Weapons and items recovered from him includes a dane gun, a double barrel pistol, lighters, torches, bottles of alcoholic drinks, phones, and other dangerous weapons.
