Staff and students of the Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti on Monday staged a peaceful protest to call the attention of government and relevant authorities to the poor state of the only road that leads to their campus.
Taking to the streets to air their displeasure, the protesters in their large number barricaded the road thus restricting vehicular movement.
The protesters could be seen with different inscriptions written on their placards urging the federal government to fix the bad roads.
They revelead that at least 5 people had lost their life as a result of the bad state of the only road leading to their place of work and study hence calling for the intervention of the federal government to fix the road.
