In a bid to suppress the level of hardship on the people of Ekiti state, a non-gov organization, Hand of Grace Charity Kitchen initiative distributed food items to indegent of Ijero-Ekiti.
The food items includes of Rice, Beans, Garri, Spaghetti, among others.
Speaking to Gmartnews correspondent, the Legal adviser to the Organization, Oluwatoyin Abegunde, said the aim of the organization was mainly to assist the indigent,victims of the society, the poor, the elderly and the less privileged by providing them with food items and free medical check-ups.
“The goal is to take care of the less previledge, indegienes, victims of the society.
That is why we are here to give back to the society by empowering them and distributing food items ranging from Rice, Garri, Vegetable oil to the indegienes.”
A volunteer, Peace Abubu, called on the state govt to organize or sponsor events like this stating that it will help reach a large number of people and suppress the hardship currently faced in the country.
” I was not expecting this much crowd but due to the condition of Nigeria, so many people came out for this.
The Gov’t should please reach out to people through their local government so as to enable them reach wider numbers of people in the state”. She added.
Benefactors of the program could not hold back their joy as thier prayers echoed all over the streets of Ijero-Ekiti.
