“I am the best candidate for the job” – Chief Akinwumi Declares Interest In Ekiti State Chairmanship Race

…Promises to ensure internal party cohesion

Chief Segun Akinwumi, a member of the People’s Democratic Party has declared his ambition to contest for the Ekiti State Chairmanship race.

He made the disclosure on Tuesday during a Press Conference at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) secretariat, Old-Governor’s office, Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital.

Addressing Newsmen and party members, he announced his ambition to contest for the Ekiti State Chairmanship race.

“My mission here today is to get myself used to the Press and the public and our party members on my desire to provide leadership for the People’s democratic party in ekiti state as a state chairman”

“I call upon members of the people’s democratic party to  support and vote for me as I am the best man for the job” he added.

About Chief Segun Akinwumi

Born in 1958 at Iye Ilejemeje Local Government.

He is an Urban and Regional Planning Graduate of former Ogun State University, Ago-iwoye; now Olabisi Onabanjo University, in 1987. 

He had his Masters in Environmental Management at the former University of Ado Ekiti, now, Ekiti State University in 2005.

He was a teacher in 1980-1982. He was also a Research Assistant at the University of Lagos between 1982-1983. He was a Corp liaison officer, Oyo state NYSC between 1987-1988 where he bagged a national merit award from the then Oyo state military governor, late col Sasaenia Oresanya as the best overall outstanding youth Corper in the state 1988.
