FG TAKES COMMUNITY YOUTH ENGAGEMENT CRUSADE TO EKITI STATE,  EMPOWERS YOUTHS WITH CASH, OTHER ITEMS


The Federal Government has held a Citizens Engagement  with youths in Ekiti state.

The Citizens Assembly tagged “The Renewed Hope Community Engagement” was undertaken by the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (South-west) Moremi Ojudu.

Speaking at the event held in Ado Ekiti the state capital,  Ojudu assured the youths that their voices will be heard by the government on all salient issues affecting them.

Ojudu also disclosed that a total of 50 beneficiaries were empowered with startup funds worth 10 thousand naira cash alongside barbing kits, Make-up kits, tailoring equipments and technician kits, several equipments to further boost the economy of the youths.

The Community Engagement Office of the federal government is saddled with the responsibility of being the bridge between the federal government and the youths, and the SSA assured that the mandate would be delivered.

The event, aimed at empowering communities through collaborative engagement,had in attendance several political figures including   SSA to Ekiti  State Governor on Community Communications, Hon Mary Oso Omotoso,  APC youth leaders, Chairman National Youth Council,SSA to the Governor for Internal Security, Hon. Adeusi Ademola Osha amongst others.

The Commissioner for Youth, Hon Adesola Adedayo, appreciated President Bola Tinubu’s Government for the initiative calling it a step in the right direction. 

He also appreciated the youths for their calmness and support given to the state government. 

Adding that the state government will continue to engage  in youths oriented programmes that will be meaningful to their lives .
