An Ivorian coach, Herve Renard has scored African Cup of Nations (AFCON) higher than European Champions.
The former Saudi Arabia coach said one can predict the 4 teams who will win the Euros but it’s highly unpredictable in the AFCON.
His words, “Euro is no less than the Africa Cup of Nations. In the Euros, from the beginning you know at least four or five teams that can win the trophy, but in Africa, all the teams are capable of winning the trophy.
“You can be surprised by the results too. Big nations are beaten by the lesser ones.
“For me, AFCON has a lot of fever and it’s so interesting with many shocks. Many people love it”.
However, Renard was the coach of the Chipolopolo of Zambia when they won the Cup in 2012 and the Elephant of Ivory Coast when they cliched the trophy in 2015.
