The European football governing body UEFA has said it is aware of an alleged terrorist threat made towards this week’s UEFA Champions League matches and is closely working with the authorities of the respective venues.
The body also disclosed its intentions to go ahead with its matches as planned with appropriate security measures in place to ensure the safety of the fans and players at the various venues
“UEFA is aware of alleged terrorist threats made towards this week’s UEFA Champions League matches and is closely liaising with the authorities at the respective venues.
“All matches are planned to go ahead as scheduled with appropriate security arrangements in place”, the statement reads.
This report comes after a disturbing picture posted by the ISIS circulated online with the caption “Kill them All” with the plan of attacking stadiums hosting the UCL this week
