Legendary Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2baba or 2face, has announced his divorce from his wife, Annie Idibia.
Taking to his Instagram page, he revealed that he and Annie had been separated for a while and had filed for divorce. The singer promised to grant a press release soon to tell his story.
Explaining why, he said it isn’t because it is anyone’s right to know about his personal life, but because he loves his people and needs them to know his innocence of offence.
“Hello to my beautiful people of all FEDERATIONS.
Well this thing I have to say is short but also long. I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now and currently filed divorce. I would grant a press release soon to say my story. Not because it is anyone’s right to know about my personal life; but because I love my people and I need them to know my innocence or offense. Stay blessed my people. I love you all”.
The divorce announcement is coming as a shock as just a few days back, Annie had shared clips of her Detty December with 2baba as she gushed over their union. The mother of two told her haters and critics, who she referred to as devil and witches to give it up as it has been 25 years of friendship and 13 years of marriage with her husband.
