Ruud Van Nistelrooy will leave Manchester United with immediate effect following the appointment of Ruben Amorim who is due to resume his duties as Head Coach at Old Trafford today
The Dutch manager took charge of Manchester United as Interim Coach following the dismissal of Erik Ten Hag last month.
Ruud took charge of 4 games where united won 3 and drew just 1, scoring 11 and conceding 3 goals in that period.
Asked if he would love to continue working in Manchester United as Assistant coach under Amorim, the Dutch manager made it clear that he would love to remain at the club as a member of Amorim’s coaching staff.
Multiple reports have now confirmed that Amorim would prefer to work with his own staffs from Sporting CP signaling the end of Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s time at Old trafford
The Club confirmed the new on their official social media handle stating:
“Manchester United can confirm that Ruud van Nistelrooy has left the club. Ruud rejoined in the summer and has taken charge of the team for the past four matches as interim head coach.
“Ruud is, and always will be, a Manchester United legend.
“We are grateful for his contribution and the way in which he has approached his role throughout his time with the club. He will always be very welcome at Old Trafford.
