Donal J. Trump has been officially sworn in as the 47th president of the United States of America.
Trump’s swearing-in ceremony took place inside the Capitol Rotunda after it was moved indoors because of what is forecast to be the coldest inauguration day in 40 years.
The oath was administered by Chief Justice John Roberts
shortly after JD Vance took the oath as vice president.
Three former presidents — Barack Obama, George W Bush, and Bill Clinton — were in attendance at the ceremony as well as leaders of the outgoing administration, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

“The golden age of America begins right now,” Trump said in his inaugural address. He quickly vowed to end the “vicious, violent and unfair weaponization of our Justice Department” and take on a “radical and corrupt establishment.”
“Many people thought it was impossible for me to stage such a historic political comeback,” he said. “But as you see today, here I am. The American people have spoken.”
Trump becomes the 47th president of the United States after toppling Vice President Kamala Harris in a tightly contested race.
He will lead the country for the next four years.
