Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) stands in firm solidarity with the Nigerian women, praising their resilience and struggles for a fair society, and their immeasurable contributions to a more equitable world.
In a statement commemorating the International Women’s Day, the Forum Chairman AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq says the body is committed to pushing policies and initiatives that give voice to and promote the wellbeing of women and the girl child.
“The NGF will continue to work with various stakeholders and women organizations to sustain the gains so far made in gender parity and women empowerment, and commit more resources to accelerate action in pending areas of concern,” according to the statement.
“My colleagues and I at the NGF congratulate Nigerian women on the occasion of the International Women’s Day and reassure them of sustained commitment to a more inclusive and safer environment for them to thrive.”
