Yet to be identified Gunmen have shot and killed a private health worker in Akure, Ondo state capital, identified as Akinola Oyabiyi
The 46 year old father of four was said to have been killed around 8pm on Tuesday in Oba- Ile, close to the Akure Airport while he was driving home.
According to a family source who spoke under the condition of anonymity, he was shot before he could attempt to escape from his vehicle.
The residents of the area are presently in serious fear and apprehension as this unfortunate incident is coming after four students of the Federal College of Agriculture were abducted in the axis a week ago.
The Public Relations Officer of Ondo State Police command, Funmilayo Odunlami confirmed the incident to newsmen.
She disclosed that the police are already investigating the case and working towards apprehending the killers.
