JUST IN: Police rescue ex-AIG Hakeem Odumosu’s wife, kill abductors and recover ransom

Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have rescued Folashade Odumosu, the wife of A former Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.

According to Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the victim regained her freedom on Wednesday and the abductors were killed during the rescue operation.

He further noted that ransom used as bait was recovered from the culprits.

He said the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, commended the police operatives and the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, for a good job.

Adejobi asserted that the Police Force is committed to safeguarding Nigerian citizens and the country.

It was learnt that the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, led the operation that rescued the retired AIG’s wife.

The retired AIG’s wife was kidnapped last Thursday at the entrance of her residence in Arepo, Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The kidnappers whisked the victim through a swampy area to an unknown destination after dragging her out of her SUV.
