
Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle to improve the effectiveness of his administration.
A key appointment in the reshuffle is Malik Anas, who has been named the new Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning.
According to a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohamed, on Monday, the newly appointed Commissioner boasts a strong academic and professional background.
Anas holds an MBA from Bayero University, Kano, and previously served as the Katsina State Accountant General. He is also a member of several professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria.
Also in the cabinet reshuffle, Bello Kagara, the current head of the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, will transition to lead the Ministry of Finance.
Concurrently, Hon. Bashir Tanimu Gambo, the former Finance Commissioner, has been reassigned to head the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

“The reshuffle also sees Yusuf Rabi’u Jirdede moving from the Ministry of Special Duties to assume leadership of the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Investment, while Adnan Nahabu transitions from Commerce, Trade and Investment to head the Ministry of Special Duties.
“Governor Radda directs the newly appointed and reassigned commissioners to maintain excellent service.
“The governor specifically charged Alhaji Malik Anas to align his ministry’s objectives with the administration’s Building Your Future agenda, while urging all commissioners to intensify their efforts in serving the people of Katsina State.”
