Delta State Police Arrest Five Suspects in Young Shall Grow Motors Bus Theft

The Delta State Police Command has arrested five suspects linked to the theft of a luxury bus owned by Young Shall Grow Motors.

The suspects were paraded at the Ekpan Police Station, where authorities revealed they planned to dismantle the vehicle for resale.

SP Edafe Bright, the state Public Relations Officer, noted that one suspect had insider knowledge from previously working as a panel beater for the company, allowing them to exploit security weaknesses.

He said, “One of them works with Young Shall Grow in the past as a panel beater and according to him, by the time he finished and gained his freedom, Young Shall Grow did not retain him, hence, he left.

“He said he has been monitoring where they park their vehicle in Abia State and he knows of a fact that they don’t usually lock their doors and they always leave the key at the ignition of the vehicle.”

Their plan to sell the bus was thwarted after police intelligence alerted scrap dealers to verify vehicle documentation.

The suspects are currently facing charges as investigations continue.
